Jaslok Hospital, Oncoshot India collaborate to increase cancer clinical trials accessibility, ET HealthWorld

Mumbai: Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai has collaborated with Oncoshot India in an effort to increase awareness, transparency and accessibility for cancer clinical trials to the entire Indian cancer ecosystem. This collaboration will work towards empowering the Indian cancer patient population with its unique offering of clinical trial matching services.

The Indian oncologists’ community feels an increasing need to get more cancer clinical trials to India. This also includes the need for increased awareness and accessibility to cancer clinical trials. Oncoshot is developing oncology clinical studies that will use the most modern oncology chemicals for the benefit of cancer patients, carers, and families.

Dr Tapan Saikia, Director, Oncosciences, Jaslok Hospital, said, “This will add a big value to the quality of cancer care because the cancer patients will be able to access and participate in cancer clinical trials relevant to their cancer type.”

Dr Milind Khadke, Director, Medical Services, Jaslok Hospital, said “We are also looking forward to national and international level reach via this Onocoshot India engagement in the Indian national oncology landscape.”

Jitendra Haryan, CEO, Jaslok Hospital, mentioned, “There is a growing need among Indian oncologists to bring more cancer clinical trials to India. This includes raising awareness and boosting access to cancer clinical trials. We are happy to collaborate with Oncoshot to make this possible.”
